On Friday April 5, the auditorium Alfredo Kraus of Las Palmas of Gran Canaria hosted the “I International Meeting on Marine Renewable Energy” organized by the Ministry of Economy, Industry, Commerce and knowledge of the Canary Islands Governement. The international meeting on Marine Renewable Energy is mainly focused on perspectives, test site experiences, Technology potential and progress of marine and offshore wind renewable energies and other ocean energy technologies in the Canary Islands, Spain and other countries drivers for marine energy around the world.
Among the key speakers were international organizations, highly recognized within the offshore wind energy sector, such as: Equinor, EnerOcean, Esteyco, Principal Power, APPA Marina, Wave Piston, NAUTILUS, Hexicon, Iberdrola and Siemens Gamesa, and had the opportunity to expose their progress in different technologies: grid connection, infrastructure experiences, marine wind farms business models, etc.
